Point of View (POV) One-Pager
A one-page argument that earns a decision: what’s happening, the insight others are missing, what to do, and why now. Replace the highlighted placeholders with your own content.
Point of View: [One-line thesis — the position you’re taking]

1. The situation
Two to three sentences of shared, verifiable reality — the context your reader already agrees with. Avoid opinion here; establish common ground.
[e.g. Over the last 18 months, X has shifted. The market/organization now faces Y. Current approaches were built for a different reality.]
2. The complication
The tension or problem the situation creates — what breaks, what’s at risk, or what opportunity is being missed if nothing changes.
[e.g. As a result, Z is happening. The cost of inaction is ___. The window to act is ___.]
3. The insight
The non-obvious idea that reframes the problem — the reason this POV is worth reading. State it plainly.
[The thing most people get wrong / the lever others overlook / the reframe.]
4. The recommendation
What you would do, in priority order. Be specific and decision-ready.
- [Move 1 — what, owner, by when]
- [Move 2]
- [Move 3]
5. Why now
The reason to act in this window rather than later — a catalyst, a closing window, or a compounding cost.
[The trigger that makes timing matter.]

One page is a discipline: if it doesn’t fit, the argument isn’t sharp enough yet.
